Below are the most common Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the first step in the repair process?
The process begins with a no-obligation quote request. Let us know what’s wrong with your equipment and we’ll give you an estimate to fix it. If you accept the estimate, we’ll charge you a $100 deposit fee and send you a shipping label. Once we receive the equipment, we’ll perform the repair and invoice you for the balance.
How do I pay for the repair?
Once you accept our quote, we'll e-mail you a link to make a $100 credit card deposit. After the repair, we'll e-mail another payment link for the balance. For clients that use Purchase Orders, we do not require a deposit.
Do you guarantee your repair services?
Yes. We provide a parts and labor warranty for 90 days after the repair.
Can you upgrade flashcodes or software-enabled feature of a radio?
No. These changes are reserved for radio manufacturers and authorized dealers.
Do you use OEM (original) parts from the manufacturer?
We try to. But in some cases, we’ll need to use aftermarket parts. Either way, our repair services include a 90-day warranty for the work performed.
How long does a repair take?
The entire process generally takes 2 to 3 weeks. We’ll provide a more exact estimate with your quote.
What if you cannot fix the equipment?
If we cannot perform the repair, you will only be charged the deposit. You will not be charged for any parts or other services we perform. Your equipment will then be returned to you.
Do you provide case / housing replacements with original cases from the manufacturer?
Generally, we do not. We often purchase aftermarket cases which lack the manufacturer’s logo. We will attempt to transplant the manufacturer’s logo sticker from your old case to the new case, but this service is not guaranteed.
Should I fix or buy a new radio?
In most cases, our repair services cost far less than replacing a radio. For professional radios, features and options restrict “apples-to-apples” replacement; in other words, repair is the best option. However, for low-end models, it might be better to replace. Either way, your best bet is to contact us for a no-obligation quote, and we’ll let you know the cost.
What equipment do you repair?
We repair portable and mobiles radios. We also repair repeaters.
What manufacturers do you repair?
We repair equipment manufactured by Motorola, Kenwood, Icom, Harris, Tait, Vertex Standard, and Hytera.
What is your refund policy?
The purchase process begins with a no-obligation quote request. Let us know what’s wrong with your equipment and we’ll give you an estimate to fix it. If you accept the estimate, we’ll charge you a $100 deposit fee and send you a prepaid shipping label. Once we receive the equipment, we’ll perform the repair and invoice you for the balance. If you discover defects in our repair, or if you are not satisfied, we will again repair the equipment for up to 90 days after you approved your quote. Please note, this 90-day guarantee only cover defects in the original quote request. If you decide to cancel your repair before we fix your item, we will refund you in full for your deposit less any shipping fees.
